The Lord of The Rings Online is a game developed by Turbine Inc., the same people behind Asheron's Call. As if the name isn't indicative enough, Lord of the Rings online is based on Tolkien's famous books by the same name. There are locations also based on "The Hobbit" as well. As with any successful online game, an expansion was imminent, thus came Mines of Moria. The players follow a main storyline, composed of "Books". Each book has a "Chapter" which is a quest. These books are related to events that happened before the LOTR Books. There are a lot of minor elements from the books and movies added to the game, all that makes a Tolkien fan even happier. The controls of the game are good, and its graphics are excellent. Mines of Moria also adds two new classes and new books for the Mines of Moria zones. The game, as many MMORPGs have a subscription model, it is a fair model and it is not too expensive. Even if you are not a Tolkien fan, this is a great game for you, but then again, who is not a Tolkien fan?
The game has a 10-days free trial which is rather heavy to download and available in North America, Australia, and New Zealand only.
